WALK-A-THON 2023
The CEF of Southern Illinois annual fundraiser this year is a walk-a-thon. Here's how it works...
The WALK-A-THON is a virtual event. The duration is Sept 1 - Oct 7. * waivers will need to be signed by all registered walkers.
1. Recruit friends, family, church groups, GNC teams to form a team.
Come up with a FUN or Unique team name! Each team member will need to register separately. Please indicate the TEAM NAME that you are joining when you register! Use this as a time of fellowship by walking together or log miles walked individually and tally team miles at the end. Individual walkers are welcome also! There will be awards for both categories.
2. This is the FUNDRAISING part! Ask friends, family, people at church, work, or neighbors to pledge an amount for your miles walked.
This can be a one time pledge or per mile. *Walk log and pledge sheet will be emailed to each walker. Please call or text if you need them mailed to you. You will be able to download a copy from this site soon.
3. Log miles and pledges!
Please take pictures of your team or selfies and share them on social media. We will see it if you use #cefsiwalk or #cefsiwalkathon2023
We really hope this will be a FUN way to Raise FUNDS for the Mission to Local Children, Create Awareness to the Mission, a Little Competition, Promote Health & Fitness to the Body.
4. Collect all the Pledge Donations that each walker has raises for the mission.
5. On Saturday, Oct. 7th Join Us for the Event Finale at Beautiful Bald Knob Cross of Peace in Alto Pass!
Bring your Pledge Money, Pledge Sheet along with your (miles walked) Log Sheets!
Walker Check-In (10:00am) To Turn in Pledge Donations, Log Sheets, Pick up T-Shirt & Team Photos at the Cross.
